Patrick Pichette, Chair of the Board


Patrick Pichette is formerly the Chief Financial Officer of Google and brings to Lightspeed a wealth of experience building and scaling global companies.

Mr. Pichette currently holds the role of General Partner at iNovia Capital.

Dax Dasilva, Director


Mr. Dasilva has been the Chief Executive Officer and a director of Lightspeed since he founded the Company in 2005. Under Mr. Dasilva’s leadership, Lightspeed has grown into a global business with offices in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia, employing over 700 people worldwide.

Mr. Dasilva has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2012 and Startup Canada’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2016 for both Quebec and Canada. He was named one of the 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs at the 2017 Builders + Innovators Summit.

In addition, in 2015, Mr. Dasilva founded Never Apart, a non-profit organization offering creative space for cultural programming with global reach and impact.

Jean Paul Chauvet, Director


Mr. Chauvet has been our President since 2016. Having joined us in the role of Chief Revenue Officer in 2012. He became a member of our board of directors in 2013.

Prior to joining Lightspeed, Mr. Chauvet held various leadership positions at Atex Group across Europe and Asia where his last role was CEO, EMEA. Prior to Joining Atex, Mr. Chauvet was the VP, Sales and Marketing of Nstein Technologies and from 2000 to 2005, he was the VP, Sales and Marketing of IXIASOFT Technologies Inc.

Mr. Chauvet also serves on the boards of directors of Coveo Solutions Inc., a provider of AI-based search technologies, and Alaya Care Inc., a cloud-based home care software solutions provider.

Marie-Josée Lamothe, Director


Marie-Josée Lamothe joins Lightspeed’s board from Google Canada where she served as Managing Director of Consumer Products, Government and Entertainment and also Managing Director of Quebec.

Mrs. Lamothe is the Founder and President of Tandem International, an advisory firm specialized in omnichannel retailing and branding.

She is also Professor of Practice at McGill University's Bensadoun School of Retail Management and is an active member with various associations in the field.

Paul McFeeters, Director


Paul McFeeters brings Lightspeed a proven track record of leading internationally-recognized companies. Formerly the Chief Financial Officer of OpenText, Mr. McFeeters joins the board with more than 30 years of experience in financial services and the software industry. He has served on several boards throughout his career including Hootsuite, Constellation Software and Blueprint Software Systems.

Merline Saintil, Director


Ms. Saintil has over 20 years of experience as a technology leader and business executive. From April 2019 to 2020, she was the Chief Operating Officer, R&D-IT of Change Healthcare Inc. Prior to that, she held the position of Head of Operations, Product & Technology with Intuit Inc. from November 2014 until August 2018. Ms. Saintil has also held leadership positions at Yahoo, Joyent, PayPal, and Sun Microsystems. Ms. Saintil's serves on the boards of Banner Corporation since March 2017 and ShotSpotter since April 2019. She is a member of the Risk Committee and Compensation Committee at Banner Corporation and a member of the Audit Committee at Shotspotter. Ms. Saintil has received numerous accolades during her career, most recently being named one of Women Inc.'s 2019 Most Influential Corporate Board Directors. In prior years, she was ranked one of the Most Powerful Women Engineers in the World by Business Insider magazine, she was recognized as a Women of Influence 2017 by Silicon Valley Business Journal, and she has earned a Lifetime Achievement Award from Girls in Tech. Ms. Saintil holds a B. Sc. from Florida A&M University and a M. Sc. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Rob Williams, Director


Rob Williams has over 20 years in eCommerce and retail experience working in leadership positions for both high-end specialty and big-box retail. Mr. Williams comes to Lightspeed from Amazon, where he led Tier 1 Vendor relationships globally. In his decade at Amazon, Rob was promoted and rotated to five leadership positions on both the Seller and Retail teams.

He currently consults worldwide on Disruptive Innovation and eCommerce and is a notable speaker on those topics.
